Amal Clooney

Amal Clooney was born in Beirut. The Arabic word meaning "hope" is'ml. Her family left Lebanon at the age of two years old, in the Lebanese Civil War, and relocated to Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. 10] Her father Ramzi Alamuddin, a Lebanese Druze who was from the Alam al-Din dynasty village located in Baakline in the Chouf district,[11] received his MBA degree at the American University of Beirut. The civil war came to an end in 1991, [12]13], he returned to Lebanon. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. She worked as a journalist for the political side and foreign editor for the newspaper run by Saudi Arabia, al-Hayat. She was also the creator of International Communication Experts. The business, which is part of a larger company, specializes in arranging celebrity appearances and publicity photos, as well as advertising for events, and more. [17] Amal has three siblings including one sibling (Tala) in addition to two half-brothers from her father's previous marriage. Amal attended Dr Challoner High School (a girls grammar school situated in Little Chalfont Buckinghamshire) before she went to university. She then studied at St Hugh's College, Oxford in which she won an exhibition grant and the Shrigley Award. The graduate received an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in jurisprudence in 2000. Then she enrolled in New York University School of Law to pursue a Master of Laws degree (LL.M). She received the Jack J. Katz Memorial Award for outstanding achievement in entertainment law.While studying at NYU she interned for a term in the office of Sonia Sotomayor, then a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and NYU Law faculty participant.
