Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away January 19, 2008, in the US. She was an American film theatre, television, as well as voice actor. Pleshette began her career in the theatre. She appeared in films in late 1950s. Later, she became an actor of note in films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). Later, she appeared in a variety of television shows, usually in guest roles, and was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978. She received a number of Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette is the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1] and Eugene Pleshette, was born on January 31, 1937, in Brooklyn Heights. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer, and choreographer who worked under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
