Anna Silk is a Fredericton native, the daughter Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had numerous talents, including being able to act, direct and produce plays, as well as write them as well as teach and serve as Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's dad is from Britain, as is her mother is a Turkish Cypriot English expat. She remembers watching her mother perform in play rehearsals. As a child, she was featured in a variety of commercials. Anna relocated to Toronto in the fall of 1999 in order to continue her acting career. Then, she settled at Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Seth Cooperman met Anna at a Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007. They were engaged. Anna had just recently converted to Judaism and the couple married in Fredericton. Bo and Lauren's love story (played Zoie Palmer by Bo) has been featured on CNN's most-loved TV couple list.
